Wangjing

Reaching from the Fourth to Fifth Ring Roads and from Jingcheng Expressway, Wangjing is one of the largest international residential community in Beijing. Many also associate this area as having a very lively and predominant South Korean atmosphere. The German corporation Siemens moved to this area in 1990, thus setting into motion a revitalization of new western-style restaurants and bars.

Accommodation
Wangjing Xincheng, Atlantic Place, and Top Aristocratic are just a few examples of residential communities that accommodate the small to mid-range budgets. Similar to the Southern Area, prices in Wangjing range from CNY 3,000 to CNY 20,000.

Shopping & Amenities
IKEA is definitely the largest shopping complex of the area. Carrefour, WalMart, and the Wangjing Shopping Center are also in the area. Several five-star hotels such as Holiday Inn and Harbor Plaza Hotel have made Wangjing their home due to the easy access to Beijing Capital Airport.

Entertainment & Leisure
With large companies such as Siemens, Motorola, LG, and Panasonic in the area, there are plenty of chic restaurants and bars in this area to keep residents entertained.

Education
Established by the Korean embassy, The Korean International School is main international school located in this area.

Transport
Though traffic has improved greatly, it can still be very heavy during the peak rush hour times. Wangjing is surrounded by four expressways and nine exits to neighboring areas. Subway Line 13 is the best way to reach this area during peak hours.
