Chaoyang Park

The largest urban green space in Beijing, Chaoyang Park is conveniently located between the Third and Fourth Ring Roads. Especially at the West Gate, Chaoyang Park is home to some notable restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Chaoyang Park was host to the beach volleyball tournament for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The largest observation wheel in the world is currently under the final stages of construction.

Accommodation
Chaoyang Park is the second largest downtown residential area with a higher residential prices for park views. Palm Springs, Park Avenue, Park Apartment, Park View, Park 15, and Green Lake are the most popular communities. Prices range from CNY 8,000 to CNY 50,000.

Shopping & Amenities
Solana is a new shopping center on the lake that features many international brands. Restaurants, bars, and nightclubs spot the area while Jenny Lou's and Lohao Organic are popular grocery stores.

Entertainment & Leisure
Chaoyang Park is a popular recreational area for locals and expatriates alike, offering the range from amusement rides to outdoor music festivals. Tennis, football, and ping pong stadiums are spread throughout the park.

Education
The Eton International School – Palm Spring Campus, for ages 1-9, is located in the Chaoyang Park area. As well, the Canadian International School of Beijing in the north of Chaoyang Park and Yew Chung International School are in this area.

Transport
Chaoyang Park has easy access to both Third and Fourth Ring Roads. However, 10-15 minutes is needed to reach the nearest subway station by foot. There is not much traffic in the area and some communities offer shuttle buses to nearby schools and shops.

Health Care
Beijing United Family Hospital in the Lido area is the closest international hospital with general health care services.
