Though currently still developing, the Northern Area has a huge potential for future growth, especially with subway Lines 5 and 10 connected the area to Beijing's city center. The housing market in this area is expected to flourish as a result of these new subway lines. Local residents not only enjoy Ditan Park's greenery, but they also relish the tranquility felt at night when the rest of the city is still bustling.
It is currently difficult to find high-quality accommodation in this area. However, Phoenix Town, Yong He Garden, and Roman Garden are good options. Prices in the Northern Area range from CNY 3,000 to CNY 25,000.
Shopping & Amenities
Though shopping malls are scarce, some mid-range shopping centers are becoming more and more popular in the Northern Area such as Ito Yakodo.
