CBD / Ritan Park

Beijing's Central Business District (CBD) is the international center for business and fine living in the heart of Chaoyang District as well as the city itself. The CBD features the area's best infrastructure with excellent properties for living, business, and pleasure. Located in the south-east of Beijing, this area is the most popular residential area for expatriates in Beijing.
Investment has been pouring into the CBD with immense development over the past few years. Posh hotels, high-end shopping centers, designer boutiques, and classy bars and restaurants surround the landmarks of the area, including the new CCTV Tower, China World Trade Towers, The Place, The Kerry Centre, Jianwai SOHO and New Town SOHO.

Accommodation
Central Park, Windsor Avenue, and Blue Castle are only a few apartment communities in this area. Apartments tend towards modern yet pricey high-rise developments. More and more reasonable apartments are being built within the CBD area with prices ranging from CNY 7,000 to CNY 90,000.

Shopping & Amenities
The Silk Market on Jianguomen is full of fake luxury brand names while the boutiques located in The Place, China World and Shin Kong Place sell the real deal. The Friendship Store, Jenny Lou’s grocery and several bakeries are near Ritan Park. Just west is The Russian Market, offering cheap clothes and souvenirs.

Entertainment & Leisure
Some of the best bars and restaurants are associated with hotels (e.g. Centro in The Kerry Centre, Aria Jazz and Wine Bar in China World Hotel). Philippe Starck’s lavish and modernly designed LAN Bar is a main attraction for this district with an impressive cocktail list and nightly live music.

Education
Eton International School and Eton Bilingual School have campuses at Global Trade Mansion just off Guanghua Lu. Yew Chung International School, The Children's House International Montessori Kindergaten, Indian Embassy School, and Beijing Fang Cao Di School arealso located in this area.

Transport
Subway lines 1, 2, and 10 meet in the center of CBD at Jianguomen. Beijing Railway Station is one stop farther south from Jianguomen. The Third Ring Road, in the middle of the CBD, connects the area to the Airport Expressway. It is easier to travel by subway during peak traffic hours when the roads become congested.

Health Care
The Beijing Vista Clinic in the Kerry Center as well as the Beijing United Family Hospital in the St Regis are private hospitals that offer 24 hours emergency treatment. You’ll find full dentistry services at SDM Dental in China World Trade shopping mall.
