Financial Street

Attracting very few international residents, the Financial Street is home to more than 1,200 government departments, financial institutions and corporations, and top financial regulators in China. More than 300 financial institutions, including the People's Bank of China, the People's Insurance Company of China, Commercial and Industrial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Communication Bank of China, China Securities Regulatory Commission, the CITIC Industrial Bank, the Royal Bank of Canada, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan are found there. The office buildings have high-quality quality and amenities.

Accommodation
Limited to a small cluster of high-rise buildings around the financial hub, there is not many other options. Rents for Guanyuan Apartments and Grace Court begin from CNY 15,000.

Shopping & Amenities
Lane Crawford in Seasons Place Mall offers a plethora of premium brands and designer goods. As well, the area east of the Xidan subway station has a department store, several bookstores, and a science and technology shopping mall.

Entertainment & Leisure
Hotel bars and restaurants, for example The Ritz-Carlton and The Westin, cater to the tourist and corporate crowd. The Central Conservatory of Music, the National Theater, Beijing Concert Hall, and the Forbidden City Concert Hall are all nearby venues hosting Chinese and international performances.

Education
It is about an hour or more commute to the nearest international schools in northeast Beijing.

Transport
Though connected to the subway Lines 1 and 2, it's quite a trek to Beijing's Capital Airport. As well, traffic is heavy when traveling towards Tiananmen Square and the city center, and taxis are difficult to find.

Health Care
Beijing Emergency Medical Center offers emergency medical care and some first aid training with English speaking staff. Beijing Children's Hospital is a public pediatrics center while nearby Xuanwu Hospital offers expertise in neurology, general surgery, and medical imaging.
