Taxi fares are likely to rise quite dramatically in the incoming weeks, the project which is apparently under study by the Beijing authorities would be the following:
the minimum fare would be 15 Yuan (instead of 10 Yuan now) and the price per kilometer would rise as well, reaching 2.4 Yuan per kilometer.
The last official statement of the Beijing authorities has been made on Weibo, on the evening of March 28th 2013, confirming that such a project is under study but that nothing had been decided yet for sure.
The Taxi Fuel surcharge would remained unchanged.
