Chaoyang Park has 280 hectares total surface, 68 hectares of artificial lakes and is considered to be the largest urban park in Asia before he is beaten by the Shanghai Gucun Park around 2015.

Chaoyang Park is green spaces, trees, gardens with flowers. It is as well a place to have leisure time and sport activities, listen to music, ride a rollercoaster et very soon a Ferris wheel.

Chaoyang Park is very appealing because of its green spaces: the Park which adds up with the gardens surrounding the villa you rent. This is an ideal choice for families in Beijing that want to remain protected from the outside pollution and heavy traffic.

The area includes numerous shopping places where you'll be able to buy international brands and food. The Solana Lifestyle Shopping Park is a commercial area where you'll find famous brands retail shops, theatres, restaurants and a "Kids Town" (the center is especially designed to be attractive to children). Next to it, to have a drink : the Lucky Bar Street 蓝色港湾幸福街.

This is as well an area with some famous addresses for night birds: Suzy Wong's Night Club, Juicy Spot Night Club and the Black Sun 黑太阳.

Looking for foreign food ? Carrefour 家乐福 east of Chaoyang Park, Yaojiayuan Road, April Gourmet 绿叶子食品店 , Yaojiayuan Road, Jenny Lou's 婕妮璐.

This area east of Chaoyang Park, as a whole, is still waiting to be renovated. It is still the old Beijing before large rehabilitation projects, with hutongs in a poor state, residential areas for middle-class Chinese citizens who reside there to live close to their working place while benefiting from cheaper rentals.

Luxury villa compounds are beginning to settle themselves in this area, anticipating renovation and enjoy the rather convenient location.

Some expatriates are looking to rent villas in the area called "Lufthansa", around the large commercial center that harbors the headquarters of the German airline company in Beijing. This area is very sought-after, mostly because of the presence of many important embassies including: United States, France, South Korea, Japan, Israel, Malaysia, Qatar...

The district is very compartmentalized since this is an area in urban transition. Numerous empty fields are waiting to be constructed but above all, security measures around the embassies implies large areas that are to be bypassed. Sometimes, it is really difficult to access from one place to another, even when they are very close.

Nowadays in competition with the many shopping malls that have opened in Beijing the past years, Lufthansa center is still one of the largest ones and oldest ones. It is still is a landmark for expatriates as well as for Chinese nationals.


The Nuren Jie, "Lady Street" 女人街, is a place to go shopping rather cheap clothes and pieces of jewelry while practising bargaining skills. A multitude of small shops in a series of litlle streets just to have fun and have good bargains.


At the Liangma flower market 亮马花卉市场, you'll be able to buy flowers and plants. It is really worth a visit.

This is a district with few international schools, but close to the area eastwards where most of these schools are located. It is in between most frequent working places in Beijing and schools. Shuttles come to pick the children up.

Important: there is two major international schools in the neighborhood. The German School (Deutsche Botschaftsschule Peking), 49 Liangmaqiao Road and the Canadian International School, 38, Liangmaqiao Road.

This is the perfect place for embassy personnel, with secured residences.

• Guang Ming Villas 光明公寓 is just at the east of Beijing Volkswagen headquarters, south west from Liangmaqiao subway station. The building's outfit may appear a little bit outdated but the quality of the services provided is very good and the apartments are very comfortable.
  is a nice residence with villas (or apartments you can rent inside a villa), comfortable, ideally located and family friendly with green spaces.

• King's Garden 京润水上花园 is a beautiful residence with western style villas to rent, the villas are pleasant with large green spaces surrounding them.
