Lufthansa
Similar to the Sanlitun area, the Lufthansa area is undergoing a new era of renovation and restoration. Also referred to as “YANSHA” in Chinese, the area is becoming the third embassy area in Beijing, housing embassies from India, Israel, South Korea, Japan, the United States, and Malaysia, to name a few.
Accommodation
Finding an apartment or villa in the Lufthansa area is possible. In recent years, new compounds such as US Apartments, Beijing Garden, and Concordia Plaza are enhancing the already high quality of accommodation and management while remaining reasonably priced. Prices range from CNY 6,000 to CNY 50,000.
Shopping & Amenities
One of the most famous shopping areas is located in the heart of “Women's Street”. International brands can also be found in Lufthansa Center and (soon) Liangma He shopping center. The Westin Hotel and Kunlun Hotel and Hilton Hotel are nearby.
Entertainment & Leisure
Though a bit sketchy at times, Xin Ba Lu is home to many types of international restaurants and bars. Xiao Yun Road also provides a good Asian bar and lounge atmosphere. As well, spend some time browsing the most famous second-hand market for electronics and furniture.
Education
The German School of Beijing, Japanese School, The Canadian School, and Beanstalk International Kindergarten are located right in the center of the Lufthansa area.
Transport
Located between the Second and Third Ring Roads, near the Airport Expressway, and close to subway Line 10, the Lufthansa area is an ideal location for transport.
Health Care
The International Medical Center is right next to the Lufthansa Center and provides all general health care. In addition, SOS clinics and Beijing United Family Hospital are located nearby.
