Everyone must have a visa issued by a Chinese consulate before arriving to the country (Japan, Brunei, and Singapore excepted). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you apply for the visa. A Q1 form must be submitted with two passport photos, an administration fee, and all visa-specific paperwork.
