Palm Springis located opposite of the South Gate of Chaoyang Park and close to other expat apartments such as Park Avenue and Park Apartments. The entire area is perfect for living near the city centre of Sanlitun and CBD but also offers western facilities, good public transport and Chinese living feeling. The entire compound area consists of 11 high standard appartment towers with a metallic shinny colour. The main streets follows to Sanlitun in about 15minutes by bus and line 10 of the tube is next too.

High quality living, wide open green spaces with security and full house services available. Easy access to different areas by having a few buses lines in front and line 10 of the Beijing tube. It is an expat friendly area with an April’s Gourmet supermarket nearby in order to buy western products and an Eton Bilingual Kindergarten on one side. You also can enjoy a few Chinese cuisine restaurants around the area and a Golf field, located 5 minutes away which are definitively an advantage if you like this type of sport. Solana shopping mall is not far away either with an entire street full of Japanese restaurants and western products shops.

Disadvantages:
Palm Springs is one of the best compounds in the entire city of Beijing but therefore the rental price might be higher than other compounds. You will not have a house with a private garden and big dogs are not allowed in this area of Beijing. If you are not willing to use the club maybe it would be better to look for more apartments but you have the option of not paying for it. The area of Chaoyang Park has not any International School nearby so it will take more time for children to go to school. The area behind Palm Springs is not as charming as others around Beijing.
